Haven’t you walked around the mall recently and became overwhelmed by the most amazing smell coming from the beauty stores? Yeah me too. I have recently been OBSESSED with the lush bath bombs. Just everything about it is so appealing. The smell, the color, and the relaxation it brings to your soul. Just everything about it is amazing.

So I decided why not try making one to suit my personality and my style. Finding a recipe on the internet was not hard since the new craze is DIY bath bombs. I fully understand why this is the new craze, as it has changed my life! Obviously being me, why do a boring ball when you can do a tear drop bath bomb? So I decided to go with a tear drop bomb just to make things more interesting.

You can customize your bath bombs with your own fragrances and colours to suit your personality and mood of the day and basically just to have fun with it. This homemade bath bomb recipe can include your favourite essential oils, perfumes, fragrances and/or colours. Make some for yourself or for your friends. HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN BATH BOMBS:

Ingredients and Supplies:

  1. 1 cup baking soda
  2. 1/2 cup citric acid
  3. 1/2 cup Epsom salts
  4. 1 tsp. water
  5. 2 tsp. essential oil
  6. 3 tsp. oil (olive oil)
  7. food coloring (any color you want)
  8. bowl
  9. whisk
  10. jar
  11. bath bomb mold

 

  1. Place the dry ingredients in a bowl and then mix them all evenly with the whisk.
  2. In a separate container, mix the liquid ingredients together. This includes your essential oils, fragrances and colours. Make sure to pick out lots of fragrance oils to try out here, as you can make many fabulous combinations for bath time. Lavender bath bombs for relaxation and sleep, perhaps tinted purple. Or try a rose bath bomb for that lovely flowery smell and fragrance.
  3. Slowly add the liquid mixture to the dry mix, one small spoon at a time
  4. When well mixed, you simply pack this mixture into a bath bomb mold and pack tightly, then let it dry. Work quickly so as not to let the bath bomb mixture dry out.

Geek to Chic – Outfit Inspirations

Being a tomboy during my teenage years whereby I played football almost every day and dressed like one of the guys, it was really hard to transform into being a sophisticated female.

Now that I am an accountant in the corporate world, I have to make sure I am always well dressed and looking my absolute best.

Finding the perfect outfit combinations can be hard. Determining what is regarded as being a fashion “no no” is even harder.  And at the end of the day, we all need to find a style that best suits our personality and our body shape and makes us feel comfortable and beautiful.

Which brought me to my garden office party debacle. What do I WEAR??

Unfortunately I am not the slimmest girl, so finding that amazing dress or outfit makes it even harder.

After a lot of research I found this amazing skirt and crop top which had such a nice Coachella vibe about it, so I decided to re-create my own version of it.

Best Idea ever. My outfit recreation included an amazing floral skirt with a black crop top. Paired with my denim jacket, it allowed the outfit to look casual yet sophisticated at the same time.

The skirt was flowly which placed no emphasis on my lovehandles and thighs – while at the same time I managed to show a little skin. The outfit was absolutely fabulous.

The Diet Tribe – Recipe Ideas

So this is my first blog and obviously it has to be on the biggest issue in my life, dieting. I am sure many of you have the same issue. Because lets be honest, as a female does the diet issue ever end?

Being an aspiring chartered accountant does not help much with the diet lifestyle. While most people think accountants are just nerdy people who sit behind a desk all day and work on math and tax problems, this is not always the case. Okay wait, I am lying. I do sit behind a desk all day which is the major issue for my diet problems. The stress leads to chocolate, which leads to ice cream, which leads to even more chocolate just to help ease my pain. Couple that with sitting behind a desk all day and we have a problem.

Just today I realized we are mid way through July.  Which means my Bikini body 2017, moved to 2018 and is now looking like it has to move to 2019, if I don’t get a handle on this diet lifestyle. But how is this even going to work without chocolate goodies during the work stress load?

Luckily I came across two fab diet health recipes that are a must try for anyone in my position. It has been a game changer in my life. Obviously I have to control myself and instead of eating 10 at a time, only eat 1. But at least if you have a sweet tooth like me, these recipes might just give you a reason to wake up in the morning when on a diet.

Peanut Butter Cookie Cakes:

  • 1 Egg
  • 40 grams tasty wheat sweetener
  • 1 scoop Whey
  • 16 grams sugar free peanut butter

Mix all the ingredients together and bake for 7 minutes

Chocolate Cake:

  • 1 scoop lean whey
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 whole egg
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp coca
  • 50 ml water
  • Optional: Sweetener

Mix all the ingredients and bake at 180c
